@mark_macrombie @TotalVilla_ @_stonyd We have to give him time, he isn’t getting the game time he is still adapting to the teams way of playing. He has only played 193 minutes, that’s just over 2 full games since Jan. I think he will be fine with a bit more time

@bigkevilla82 @walshcat1 @johntownley11 The other argument is about growing revenue. There has to be recognition that part of competing is stadium capacity development and also prices will have to go up..but for me that should not happen *during* a campaign. And PR has to be done the right way..

@TotalVilla_ Usually Unai goes with Digne when using Pau to compensate for the weakness in defence. Tielemans will help improve our screening which is a huge benefit aside from his progressive passing

While Ian Maatsen does offer a different dimension in attack compared to Lucas Digne, I do have concerns about his defence and it showed against Lille 📊 • 0 Tackles or Interceptions • 2/8 Ground Duels Won • 0/2 Aerial Duels Won Part of his game that needs work IMO 🇳🇱 #avfc

Martinez getting a lot of love for the pass but Sancho’s work in the goal was the highlight for me. Brilliant run, great first touch, then control and awareness to see McGinn for the assist. #AVFC

@greggevans40 @JamesSa23495436 It was an absolutely class goal from start to finish. Emi incredible, Sancho both great touch and great efficiency of touches (one to control, one to create the space, one perfectly weight pass), McGinn classic ‘back where the keeper came from’ finish. Perfection.

@greggevans40 How many keepers would be capable of playing that pass though? Not just seeing it was on but actually enabling it. And after saving a free kick. Just world class.

@_stonyd After this season more than ever we need to make sure we strengthen in CM. Can’t risk being so soft in the centre again.

I hope Villa sign this lad in the summer. He’s elite in the making and exactly the profile we need. Think he could be Youri long term replacement and play along with him in meantime

@_stonyd @TotalVilla_ Yes share that concern clearly not as mobile. Emery wanted him so I imagine he is going to have a plan longer term of how to change the system to get the best from him. Perhaps we will be able to judge better next season with a full preseason etc

I was worried with what I saw last night. It is clear that TA has problems in changing direction at speed which is why the ball was lost a lot as he can’t adjust when he needs to do at speed. Hes ok running forward at speed but when needing to turn it’s obvious his injuries he had have had a toll. Will still score goals and can play a role but leading the line isn’t going to be easy with him. I’d say his role will be giving Ollie a rest when we can and also coming on to play against teams in a low block where we need to put crosses into the box and set pieces

@DanB5826 Yep let’s see how he responds. My hope is he can finish strong and force his way back in as I think he’s a better option than DCL off the bench against top sides but if not he’s got a summer of rest!

@mark_macrombie Love Watkins, done so much for the club but he hasn’t been good enough this season & he’ll be the first to say that. I really think DCL is good enough and I’ll trust Tuchel’s judgement. Big few months for Ollie now, I hope he can do it

Surely no one is surprised that Watkins has not been included in the England squad. When fit, DCL is a better forward than OW & he deserves his chance. Ollie needs to step up over the next few months now. I do think he will struggle to get back in the World Cup squad 😕 #avfc
