Shocking experience with @group_pacifica. Installed dishwasher which is failing to pump water out. After some calls, agreed to send out an engineer. They have scheduled & cancelled 3 visits, claiming sickness each time. Escalated to Resolutions team, who have failed to resolve.

@PaulDFollows @Jeremy_Hunt I think the business park by the old railway station would be a sensible place for water distribution. The homes in the affected zone will all be able to easily access this, particularly once Station Road is closed at the garage end.

Without commenting on your repeated misinformation about the role of WBC, I will add that I have made recommendations as to a chair of that proposed Gold command (but as we both know the emergency services will make a determination on the need for one based on the facts). It doesn’t happen because a political person asks for it (which is as it should be). I also have the following update of my own: BRAMLEY WATER OUTAGE - PLASTIC BOTTLE RECYCLING AND WATER STATIONS Having observed during the last big outage a significant increase in plastic bottles, (for obvious reasons) which led to residents being swamped by it and then a large spike in waste collection issues - ✅ I have asked the environmental team at Waverley to deploy some additional plastic recycling points in Bramley for the duration of the Petrol/TW outage and the related works over the next few weeks. Locations will be agreed tomorrow but please do post any suggestions here that you feel might be most useful in the community. I have also reached out to the ward councillors and the parish council in Bramley as to where would make sense. ➡️ At the request of residents I have also asked TW to consider additional or replacement water distribution points IN ADVANCE of any serious highways works. Bramley Fuel Leak - update On Friday I received this wholly inadequate response from Waverley (see below). There is a MUCH BIGGER issue than Waverley are pretending. Openreach are saying they may not be able to repair any broadband issues in large parts of Bramley for months because they cannot send electrical pulses down copper wires in their ducts when there is a risk of explosion. This could affect power networks as well. And still 616 households are without water. The only glimmer here is that the root cause of the problem has now been identified but the unanswered questions is HOW LONG will it take to sort out, WHEN will residents get their drinking water back, WHAT are the risks to health they may have been subjected to, WHAT HAPPENS if people lose their broadband connection over the next few months and IS THERE A RISK TO POWER SUPPLY? I have therefore this morning spoken to Tim Oliver, Leader of Surrey County Council, and asked him to set up a Gold Command to resolve the issue. Multiple agencies need coordinating and only Surrey has the ability to put this in place so we can resolve the issues as quickly as possible. Tim is going to look into this today and will ask officers to set up the Gold Command - (because in his role as a politician he is not allowed to dictate this). I hope we can go forward as soon as possible.

‼️DRINKING WATER PROHIBITION NOTICE FROM THAMES WATER - GU5 / BRAMLEY‼️ Please see below the link from Thames Water who have issued a serious notice (the Bramley petrol issue has clearly escalated). This is wholly a TW matter but WBC are being kept in the loop, as am I directly and will report back as I have updates. I have already spoken to TW myself and reiterated how important it is that the main website be kept up to date and will monitor this also. ➡️ Link: thameswater.co.uk/network-latest Please shout if any questions but hopefully the TW page will be kept updated too. @Jeremy_Hunt This is absolutely awful. We need Thames Water to come clean with us on the detailed facts of their testing: When and where they have tested and what were the results? I note that they have declined to do this so far, but this is simply unacceptable to the residents of Bramley.

I have this afternoon been on a call with the UKHSA, DEFRA, Thames Water and Asda with Cllr Austin. Thames Water are implementing a drinking water stop notice across much of Bramley Village. Please see the press release below. I have requested that bottled water stations are in Bramley itself - they are being set up now. I will keep you updated on this, Jeremy

LOCAL WATER / SEWAGE TESTING - SOMBRE READING TO PUT IT MILDLY … Earlier in the week one of my colleagues flagged a number of instances where children have fallen sick after being in the river Wey. Following that I engaged Water Rangers to undertake some localised testing (e-coli being one of the main things to be testing for). ⚠️ We still have an MP who isn’t turning up to vote (or is outright voting against) controls and penalties on dumping sewage and punishing it as the environmental crime that it so clearly is. We have a failing water company. ➡️ This making people sick (and not just here). Having few direct tools at my level, I am trying to do everything I can here to make sure residents are aware of the risks and the issues. Please see below the results of some of the localised testing. I have also put up some notes as to how to interpret the results. Essentially anything above 1000 is not good. Keep in mind that many European countries and places like Canada would confided anything above 250 to not be acceptable. The local tests max out at about 2420 (the ones showing higher have had a specialist test done to show the detailed position). Happy to take comments and questions but I think the data speaks for itself. My thanks again to Water Rangers. ➡️ waterrangers.com/community-lab-…

At #PMQs today, Rishi Sunak said “this week we’re cutting taxes by £900 for everyone in work”. This isn’t correct, for at least two reasons. (1/5)

It may be a 'free country' but if a candidate is wealthy enough to put 100K of his own money into his local campaigning, is that a 'fair fight'? Please support #GodalmingandAsh Lib Dem candidate @PaulDFollows in challenging this disparity 🙏 🔶 Donate: waverleylibdems.org.uk/paul-follows-f…

Sky's @BethRigby asks Jeremy Hunt why he put £100,000 of his own money into his constituency. 'Is it because you're so worried about losing your seat to the Lib-Dems?', she asks. 'Because during the pandemic it was not possible to fundraise', he says. trib.al/QARd1Wg
