Our local MP last night defended this model of operation for core national infrastructure such as Water. Customers - all of us - are put below shareholders in that equation. As we have also seen when we are effectively called ‘liars’ when we complain about the recent water outage and compensation. Jeremy Hunt said this model was a success. What do you think? Personally I think for critical services like water, there needs to be a rethink. Privatisation in these sectors hasn’t worked and a new model needs to be implemented. The public here need to come first, not shareholders (wherever they are based, at home or abroad).

Sky's @BethRigby asks Jeremy Hunt why he put £100,000 of his own money into his constituency. 'Is it because you're so worried about losing your seat to the Lib-Dems?', she asks. 'Because during the pandemic it was not possible to fundraise', he says. trib.al/QARd1Wg
