In the early days of LTT NAEP, 17 year olds who had left school were nevertheless tested by NAEP.

@KellyRasti And in the world of the internet, student look up the test in advance of taking it; when they find out they have no benefit to do well, they just click answers when forced to take it. It really is an awful measure of student academic achievement.

Interesting point. Not sure lawmakers that use NAEP data for various things realize that only ~half a million students in the entire country take the exam, and they don’t take it annually. Just worth knowing since that data is leveraged for big things. #txlege
