One year ago, a violent attack on our Capitol made it clear just how fragile the American experiment in democracy really is. Here’s my statement on what the anniversary means, and what we need to do today.
Need a fun spooky season movie/TV special to watch with our boys, 9 & 6 for pizza night tonight!

Help us keep things rolling!
President Biden is an American tragedy. I doubt he will be President much longer, paving the way for Kamala, the real plan all along. Will the collapse of Biden, collapse in Kabul, lead to the collapse of the dollar? Yes, the coming American tragedy. Buy gold, silver, Bit coin
@theRealKiyosaki It saddens and disturbs me deeply to read this post. Reminds me of 2015 Trump called McCain "loser" for being "captured" and tortured in Viet Nam. I pray for financial gurus who try to talk politics. I pray for readers who blindly agree with them. Kiyosaki is a troll.
It saddens and disturbs me deeply to witness the retreat from Afghanistan. Reminds me of 1975 retreat from Viet Nam. I pray for the troops who lost their lives or their limbs. I pray for the Afghanis who will be killed or punished supporting America. Biden is a pussy.
@austinkleon Just read this. I'm fascinated with analogy between writing and gardening. You can decide if your darlings are simply dead flowers or roots. And if you're unsure, just separate and replant them anyway and see what happens.
@ramit Case studies, to be honest. I like practical tips, strategies, principles, etc., and examples that illustrate how to use them, but I do not care for stories about people's lives using the ideas or principles.
Interesting conversation I had with a book club:
"What parts of a book do you always skip?"
E.g., in biographies, I skip the chapter about their childhood. I just don't care!
One of the other members disagreed. That's his favorite part
What parts of books do you skip?
@chrisguillebeau I agree completely. You would probably mix in something with non-conformity - e.g. reaching FI in weird, unconventional ways. And likely it'd include side hustles, $100 start ups, and quests.
@JohnButman I was saddened to hear of John's passing last year. I've only just found out recently. John, you were an inspiration to me. Your book Breaking Out has changed my thinking and life in incredibly deep ways. You'll be missed.
@ramit We could go the Robert Kiyosaki route: go to school; get good grades; get a good job that offers good benefits; invest in your 401k; spend below your means; save for a rainy day; live debt-free.
What are some MIDDLE CLASS money beliefs?
Examples:
* Success is determined by your house & car
* Kids should go to college
* 2 vacations / year is a given
What would you add?
