I find it remarkably moving to see a Labour Cabinet meet for the first time in 14 years, to see a Labour PM take a press conference with calm competence and transparency and to think how many things are now possible that were unthinkable only 72 hours ago.

My overall feeling is one of enormous relief and gratitude that finally we have a government that gets it and cares, replacing a bunch of self-serving liars, cheats and hate-mongers. Oh happy day.

As I voted to kick the Tories out, I wore my dad’s wedding ring. He was in hospital with no visitors then lying on a slab for weeks waiting for his funeral while the Tories got so wasted they vommed up the walls of Downing St. This one’s for you, Dad! #ToriesOut #ToryWipeout2024

I would like to thank Rishi Sunak and his desperation for reminding us what a charlatan Boris Johnson is, what a dreadful PM he was, and of the damage he did to the country with his lies and incompetence. Labour gain.
