𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲. Simon was a dedicated and long-serving member of the Banbury United family. A ball boy, he even became the club’s mascot throughout the 1990s and remained a loyal home and away supporter for many years, including following the women’s team. Simon had also volunteered his time as assistant kit man. Simon’s passion and commitment to the club will always be remembered. Our thoughts are with his friends, family and all those who knew him.

Exactly a year to the day I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver & Bowel cancer. I was given a 50% chance of survival, 12 months on & after 11 months of chemotherapy treatment, 8 operations / procedures, I am still here and fighting hard. It's been the toughest year on my life. Thank you to everyone who has been there for me, your support & love is appreciated and needed. My fight to be cancer free continues, but I am positive that I will beat the horrible illness & be cancer free.

Pep Guardiola on why his team are returning to good form this season: “ENERGY! ENERGY! ENERGY! We lost it last season, me first, and everyone. Start to train better, to compete better. Three at the back, four at the back, wingers, full-backs, that is BULLSH*T!” Interesting that he reflects his own energy was not good enough last year, then links training well to playing well. He places tactical input as a lower value to all of that.
