Caught up last evening. This ended with the right decision and is further evidence, as @GeorgeRussell63 has said, that the rules are too prescriptive. I’d add the stewards need to ask themselves if the “infraction” impacted the race. Initially penalty was fine, the pit stop no.

I am wrestling with the idea of setting up camp outside of @markejohnson’s office tomorrow morning to get his thoughts…. And watch all of the #F1 YouTube pundits this week!!

A: ‘The studies are clear. Viewers can differentiate between professional work and amateur work. You don’t want to lose professional photographers. Strong photography and strong headlines will drive (web) traffic.’ *Nice 👌🏼 houstonlanding.org/qa-how-compell…

@polina_marinova There is a lesson in there about going to things and not away from them and knowing your employees, but the pay equity issue is problematic for me.

@polina_marinova Were they doing equivalent work? This is the same logic that suppressed women’s wages for the last century - they weren’t supporting a family so didn’t deserve the same pay for the same work. Now, if Jerry was providing more value, that’s an important lesson.

An amazing lesson on the value of learning a living, why entitlement won't get you anywhere, and how a true leader is intimately aware of his employees' needs. As told by Bridgewater co-CEO Mark Bertolini:

My coworker and a 9-year-old baby lost their lives today. Struggling to find the words, but I said what I could here. Thank you to everyone for checking in, and for the kind words of support for our entire team at @MyNews13

@Grant_Blank_ I can’t definitively confirm, but had a friend show a brilliant, intimate portfolio and was told that’s not NYT style. And if you aren’t thinking about how images will be seen, you aren’t thinking about your audience. Which is the purpose of photojournalism, right?

@Grant_Blank_ They had a reputation for shooting tight and clean, much like wire services did, through at least the early 1990s. Part of that had to do with the size at which they ran images - smaller images need cleaner compositions, which are harder to do with wides.

Not to be that guy, but...uh...another TFR was just posted: this time for portions of northern Lake Michigan. Advisory is in place until further notice for national security aircraft operations.

My theory on the unidentified-balloon objects? It’s a PR stunt - Jules Verne’s “Around the World in 80 Days” was released 150 years ago.
