IMO, when ppl lament the state of men's attire, they're lamenting the lack of a silhouette. creating an interesting silhouette requires skilled tailoring, structure, and material, which adds to the cost. today's clothing is so simplified and slim-fitting, it's like being naked.

t-shirt and shorts, or dress shirt and chinos, is basically about as lightweight, nonexistent clothing as you can get. traditional clothing in these other places often involves more cloth. IMO, the prob is that most American men don't want to spend money or wear more fabric.

@dieworkwear lol, it’s an international thing, men should look ordinary to bring out the charm of women.

i often see women wearing nice outfits for Friday/ Saturday dinners at upscale restaurants and their male partners making no effort and it seems like such a wasted opportunity. if you're going to pay $30 for spaghetti, why not make it a nice outing?
