@Kershaw444 I still find it mad that we are only 3 pts clear. We’ve lost 3 games less than Forest & Spurs and 4 less than West Ham! We could draw our way to safety but we have to go for it vs Wolves and Burnley.

I keep seeing American DIY instructions where they pour a concrete foundation for *anything* and then place wooden posts in them, Im starting to think it is bait or some typ of elaborate hoax. Surely it can't be an actual construction technique?

@appalachia69420 @BjorkBrodern England has used the construction method for centuries. We have buildings built this way that are older than the US as a country. Depends which wood you use.

@BjorkBrodern It's fine for fence posts. By the time the posts rot bad enough (20-40 yrs), the rest of the fence is usually dilapidated enough that it needs replacement as well. For structural things like decks and pier&beam foundations, you generally want the wood on, not in, the concrete.

@BjorkBrodern Reason its done is for 2 main purposes... It stops that which is underground from being permanently in contact with moisture... and also strengthens it against wind. A single post, no probs... a fence which will catch more wind...makes sense. Its done in the UK as standard.
