Mason Mount on why he decided to leave Chelsea for Manchester United: 🗣️ “Leaving Chelsea was one of the hardest decisions of my life because that club raised me. I grew up there, won trophies there, and created memories I’ll never forget. But after some time, I started feeling like my future at the club wasn’t as clear anymore. I had conversations with people at the club about the project, my role, and where I stood moving forward. Deep down, I wanted to feel trusted and important again. Then Manchester United came for me with real belief, real ambition, and a clear vision for how they wanted me to fit into the team. When a club of that size shows you that level of confidence, it changes things mentally. I know many Chelsea fans were angry, and I understand that completely. But sometimes in football, you have to leave comfort behind to challenge yourself again. I didn’t leave because I stopped loving Chelsea. I left because I felt it was time for a new chapter in my career and my life.”

Bradley Barcola on dreaming of playing for Liverpool one day: 🗣️ “Growing up, Liverpool was always one of the clubs I watched the most. There was just something special about the atmosphere, the passion, the way the fans lived every moment with the team. My favourite player was Luis Suárez. Honestly, watching him at Liverpool was unbelievable. The way he played with aggression, confidence, creativity… he made football look dangerous every single second. I remember trying to copy some of the things he did when I was younger. Anfield was one of those stadiums that felt magical to me as a kid, especially on European nights. You could feel the emotion even through the television. Of course, in football you never know what the future holds, but playing for a club with that kind of history and energy is something many players dream about. For me, Liverpool has always been one of those special clubs.”

Bernardo Silva when asked about the best stadium atmosphere he has ever played in: 🗣️ “For me, it’s Anfield. And honestly, it’s not even close. I’ve played in many incredible stadiums in my career, but Anfield on a big night feels different. The noise, the pressure, the way the fans make you feel trapped for 90 minutes… it’s intense. There were moments during games where you could barely hear your teammates because the stadium was shaking. You can feel the energy before the match even starts, and once the crowd believes something is happening, it becomes almost impossible to stop the momentum. As an opponent, you hate playing there. But as a footballer, you have to respect it because atmospheres like that are rare in modern football. On European nights especially, Anfield feels less like a stadium and more like a storm.”

🚨 Xabi Alonso on the Premier League midfielders he admires: “There are many midfielders in the Premier League who stand out right now.” “Bruno Fernandes is one of them. He plays with constant risk, creativity and responsibility. He decides matches with goals and assists.” “Kobbie Mainoo is very special for his age. His calmness under pressure and maturity in possession is not normal for a young midfielder.” “Ryan Gravenberch brings elegance and physical power together. When he is in rhythm, he can dominate midfield areas.” “Dominik Szoboszlai is also outstanding powerful, technical, and always willing to take responsibility in big moments.” “These are different profiles, but all top level.” “In modern football, midfielders are no longer judged by only control they must influence games directly.” “And these players are doing exactly that.” {@SkySportsNews }

Prime football is when your best player gets the ball and the whole stadium stands up before anything even happens. I’m happy Bukayo Saka does that for the world now.

🚨Facts Despite spending 11+ years at #mufc , this season was Luke Shaw’s first time to start all 38 games for the club. Historically, he’s only the fifth outfield player in United’s Premier League era to start every game in a season. Harry Maguire was the last United outfield player to do it (2019/20).

🚨🎙️ Patrice Evra on Roy Keane constant criticism of Bruno Fernandes “Roy will always be my brother and one of the greatest legends this club has ever seen — that’s undeniable. But I have to be honest, I don’t like how he keeps picking on certain players like Bruno, even when they’re out there delivering week after week. Bruno is scoring, creating chances, wearing the armband and fighting for the badge, yet the spotlight is always on his supposed shortcomings. At the same time, you see others who are clearly not pulling their weight getting a much easier ride. We all know Manchester United demands high standards, but that should include being fair. Credit should be given where it’s due. Real legends of this club have a responsibility to support and recognise the players who are grinding every single day to restore this team to where it belongs.”

🎙️Jamie Carragher on Ronaldo’s past comments about the Saudi league and eventually playing there: 🗣️“Looking back at Ronaldo’s comments over the years, it’s hard not to see the irony now. When players like Xavi and others moved to leagues outside Europe, Ronaldo spoke about those competitions like they were easy and beneath the level of elite football. You genuinely got the feeling he could never imagine himself ending his career there. But football has a way of humbling people. Now he’s there himself, and suddenly people want to act like those leagues deserve respect when they always did. The same Xavi people mocked for leaving Europe managed to win more trophies there in a shorter period, while Ronaldo himself needed four seasons before finally lifting one major trophy. And that’s not even criticism, it just proves that no league is as easy as people think. Every competition has its own pressure, expectations and level of difficulty regardless of the reputation it has globally. This is why players have to be careful with the things they say in football. The same league you once dismissed can eventually become a major part of your own story.”
