13 days on my end means: 13 more nights of debugging. 13 more 3am commits. 13 more "this should work" moments that don't work. @amthekang handles the vision. I handle making it real. Day 30. We ship.
Min Kang@amthekang

Day 17 of building Restyld 👕 17 days done. 13 days left. 57% there. We set Day 30 as our launch date. That's 13 days from now. The AI is working. The app is taking shape. The Early Access page is live. Not slowing down. 👉 restyldai.com (link in bio) @markkwondev — 13 days. Let's go. #buildinpublic #indiehacker #fashiontech

@amthekang 14 days ago @amthekang texted me: "Let's build an app together." I said no. Today we have: ✅ A name: Restyld ✅ A domain: restyldai.com ✅ An Early Access page ✅ A real launch date Still can't believe I said no. 👕 restyldai.com

Day 14 of building Restyld 👕 Big news. We renamed the app. We bought the domain. We built the Early Access page. FitDude → Restyld. Because this isn't about buying new clothes. It's about rediscovering what's already in your closet. 14 days of building with @markkwondev. Today it gets real. 🔗 restyldai.com Drop a 👕 if you want early access. #buildinpublic #indiehacker #fashiontech

From the engineering side: Retention is a product problem before it's a tech problem. @amthekang and I spent 2 hours today on one question: "What happens on Day 2?" Still working on the answer.
Min Kang@amthekang

Day 13 of building FitDude 👕 Today's hardest question with @markkwondev: "How do we make people come back every morning?" Not just download. Not just try once. Actually open it. Every day. Like brushing teeth. Building a habit is harder than building a feature. What makes YOU open an app daily? #buildinpublic #indiehacker #fashiontech

From the engineering side: The "will their eyes hurt" question took 2 hours to answer. @amthekang kept saying "something feels off." He was right. Took me 45 minutes to find a 2px spacing issue. Day 30. Locking it in.
Min Kang@amthekang

Day 12 of building FitDude 👕 Today with @markkwondev: "Will users' eyes hurt looking at this?" "Does this button make sense?" The unsexy part of app building — making sure it feels good to use. Also: we set a date. Day 30. Launch target. 18 days left. #buildinpublic #indiehacker

But for real — super proud of you for digging in and finally mastering @State, @Binding, and @ObservedObject. That’s real growth. We’re actually doing this together. Two idiots, one app. Let’s go 🚀

Still good. Day 10 check: - Code: compiling ✅ - AI accuracy: improving ✅ - @amthekang's ideas: still wild ✅ - My sleep: still optional ✅ 10 days down. Let's keep going.
Min Kang@amthekang

Day 10 of building FitDude 👕 10 days in. Here's what's real: ✅ Full app flow: 11 screens done ✅ AI outfit analysis: working ✅ Seoul ↔ Atlanta duo: still talking ✅ Waitlist: opening soon ❌ Revenue: $0 ❌ Users: 0 ❌ Sleep: also 0 But it's starting to feel inevitable. @markkwondev — we're 10 days in. Still good?

@amthekang I agree with this. But from the product side, that’s also harder. It means FitDude has to understand: - what the user owns - what they actually wear - what they avoid - what makes them feel confident Not just generate a nice outfit.
Min Kang@amthekang

Day 7 of building FitDude 👕 One thing I told @markkwondev today: A fashion app shouldn’t make your closet feel empty. It should make your closet feel useful again. Most people don’t need more clothes. They need better ways to wear what they already own. #buildinpublic #indiehacker

From my side of the call: Showing @amthekang the full UX flow for the first time. His first reaction: "Wait, this is actually good." My reaction: "…I know." Day 6. Getting there.
Min Kang@amthekang

Day 6 of building FitDude 👕 Weekly sync with @markkwondev. Him in Atlanta. Me in Seoul. 13 hours apart. This is what we reviewed today: 11 screens. Full app flow. From splash to outfit recommendation. Still a lot to build. But it's starting to look real. #buildinpublic #indiehacker

The AI part took 3 weeks to get right. Getting it to describe clothes like a fashion editor (not like a robot) was… interesting. "Dusty-rose belt bag — soft contrast anchor" vs "Pink bag detected." Worth the 3 weeks.
Min Kang@amthekang

Day 5 of building FitDude 👕 First look at what we're building. You take a photo of your outfit. AI breaks it down like a fashion editor. Every piece. Every detail. Why it works. What to add. No shopping links. No "buy this." Just: understanding what you already own. Built by me in Seoul + @markkwondev in Atlanta.

For the record: While Min was sleeping, I was googling "is it normal for AI to confuse jeans with curtains." It was not normal. We're both winning at different things.
Min Kang@amthekang

Day 4 of building FitDude 👕 Was supposed to post yesterday. Instead I fell asleep with my two kids at 8pm and woke up at 6am. @markkwondev was probably debugging at 3am his time. Different parents. Different timezones. Same company. Day 4. The schedule lost. We didn't.

Correction for the record: The conversation was actually: Me: "Every wardrobe app already does this" @amthekang: "WITH CHAT?" Me: "...okay you might have a point" Chat changes everything. Details coming this week.
Min Kang@amthekang

Day 2 of building FitDude 👕 Texted @markkwondev last night: "What if the AI just works with clothes you already own?" His reply (calm, logical): "That's literally every wardrobe app." Me (2am, excited): "BUT WITH CHAT." Still convinced this matters.
