just my opinion but AKotSK is like a gourmet cheeseburger and an ice cream cone. HotD is like homemade lentil stew and sourdough but no dessert. both good meals. Andor is like an extremely good homemade vegan burrito, and all the other SW shows are like cold Taco Bell leftovers

agree. also want to point out that the relationship between style and content isn’t always linear. sometimes a writer has truly nothing to say AND no style. while you might think the result would be ruinous, in some cases this setup generates rich and extraordinary authenticity

The whole premise of comparing little swatches is style is so LLM-coded. The value of a style depends on what a writer has to say. Henry James's prose is not good or bad absolutely but only relative to what it is used for, the vision of the world it fits and conveys
