We are putting the planting depth theory to test this year, but my other issue with depth is that it pushes my comfort for seed piece decay. It will be interesting to hear all results

Have different practice/timing at multiple depths. Hope to see whether planting depth or late hilling seem to be more beneficial

The Nopiming Fire in Manitoba ran 250,000 acres yesterday (100,000 hectares) and the Lac Du Bonnet Fire ran over 10,000 acres. “Gone.” 1,000 people have been evacuated. Reports that the fire displayed multiple column collapses and was making its own weather including lightning in the fire column. A 250,000 acre run in a day is nearly unheard of. Rain is expected in the coming days, but fire officials say it will not be enough.
