Went to the beach with my oils, early morning for the breaking light in the dark winter sky. I do like the challenge of painting atmosphere. The weather has been so bad down here on the south coast of the U.K. So the atmosphere did not disappoint- it was moody!

We’ve been blessed with rain ☔️ wind and darkness here today on the South Coast. So I took myself first thing down to my favourite beach. The light through the winter clouds was lovely. Always after painting the mood! #gouache #winterbeachwalks #winterclouds☁️
