I love the unexpected places that people hail you when you drive into London, but not for work
The kind of stuff that would never ever happen if you had your light on
On the north circular/falloden way 🥴
KA13 BEE was just empty in front of me on the Strand, he got caught in traffic on the Aldwych so I went around him and left into Kingsway. He chased me, flashing his lights and when he pulled next to me I said to him “payback time, you don’t like it do you?”, he was furious 🤣🤣
If I was 21 I think there’d be different career paths for me to explore than the Knowledge.
Maybe that’s 25 years of being in the trade speaking after seeing how it’s changed both financially and practically.
I won’t lie.
@IllLeaveMyMark If someone wants to come into the taxi trade, then I would encourage it to a extent, but only if they knew the full truth, if they were unsure of what to do with there early life, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the cab trade and would recommend the railway or building trade.
@BlowLane41453 There is no proof. But you no it went on. Door pounces calling up there drivers, is no different to what went on with taxiapp and some of their select chosen drivers. Just my opinion. BL
@ChapelShelter@michaelblackcab Not ignoring what happened a few weeks ago, but seems from previous post today, it’s private cars as well, not just cabbies.
Hi everyone, so sorry we will be closing at 2pm today due to the amount of parking wars and abuse we have received. We're physically and mentally drained 😫
@SarcasticCdow@PaulParklane Don’t disagree and try and have a sensible discussion though, as he blocks you. In he’s videos he says he is easily contactable, but can’t take any other opinions. Genuinely baffled as to what was the tipping point.
Jump on form again this morning. 5 so far.
Have to say since Paul took on the ‘engagement’ role the app has gone from strength to strength.
🤝🤝
Keep up the good work @PaulParklane
@320_runs Imagine being unemployed, imagine not being able to get a job due to genuine reasons, imagine struggling to put food on the table. Yes driving a cab can be stressful, do me a favour and be grateful for what opportunities that it gives people. The world doesn’t roll around cabbies
Just imagine what every cab driver has and is going through. All the pressures of large overheads and the daily challenge of what London has to throw at us so that we can earn a crust.
It gets to me sometimes, I go home and get on with it the next day.
Not many of us go sick.
Is there many better feelings as a cabby than when some knob who is determined to not let you out and then that lovely cheeky slip into the bus lane, pull next to them, toot the horn and give a wave, then drive off?
Nah, it’s amazing
Honestly… ffs…
Kinsky slipped
Richarlison slipped
VDV slipped
None of them have the proper studs on.
This is absolutely basic stuff.
What exactly was the point of the warm up?! 🙄
@Tonycornick1 Nice to read a tweet from you that is real life and to the point, rather than the normal fishing for hate.
Good luck to your daughter for her exams. Been there done that with mine, and it’s not easy. Next to decide what they wanna do at college/6th etc.
BL
The reason I started the knowledge and had to make sure I never gave up!
Ready to leave school in a few months sitting here last exams... a work ethic and attitude to always improve taking her from struggling at year 7 now to the top of every subject 😮
Proud dad❤️
@johneld61671772 If it was a 4 cab rank, maybe, the fact it’s a 30+ cabs in front of you, not sure it matters. If it was Kensington high street, would you have turned in front of him? I’d suggest he’s right.
