@ross_burman Private and public schools need separate championships. As you have pointed out, District 1 at any level has not won a boys basketball championship since 2013! PIAA could care less about the disparity. Only care about the green backs.

Updated thru Thursday night: Pub/Charter schools came into PIAA 2004-2005. Phila Catholic schools came in 2008-2009. 70 appearances: 45 state champs 25 state runnerups

@Wvufan34157702 @RareFootageNews District 3 has done well, no question. District 12 has a 85% winning percentage since PCL joined the PIAA in 2008-2009 school year. PIAA is making too much money to care about a fair fight.

@RareFootageNews District 3 has 3 teams in the state title. In the last 5 years they have won 3/5 state titles in 6A would have been 4/5 if Readings best player didn’t get hurt in 2022. Not that impressive when every district 12 team recruits.

Another year, another statement—District 12 is back taking over Hershey at the PIAA state finals. With Sankofa, West Catholic, Devon Prep, Bonner, and Imhotep Charter all punching tickets to the championship, D12 has a shot to bring home 5 of the 6 boys titles. There’s only one way to describe the Philadelphia area right now: dominant.
