@WalesRugby With all the injuries - still don’t quite understand why Winnett -15 and Sheedy -10 seem to have disappeared off the Wales selection radar. They both have looked really comfortable playing international rugby. Too small?

I think overall we’ve seen some improvement in each game. Realistically we R where we R & should get behind the coaches & the team. I fear there is some more pain ahead of us but everyone should B aware our current situation has been years in the making, not the players fault.

@andyhowellsport @LeicesterTigers Don’t really understand the back story behind Reffell’s omission. His stats must be good and he is one of the few Welsh forwards to hold down a regular place in the English premiership which is tough week in week out

@andyhowellsport @newbridgerfc @NewportRFC Bar 88, what did we win the 80's. Don't get me wrong I grew up on this decade of club rugby but do you not remember the humiliations at Twickenham when we moved out the decade and our packs were routinely described as soft and unfit by the press.

@markwaygood ✅Edson Arantes Di Nacimento. Described himself in his autobiography biography as an accomplished Goal Keeper who really enjoyed playing there! Not a clue who the Italy GK was! I recall Riva & Boningsegna? That’s about it but i did watch all the Games. They were very early am.

Got this from another book…..Who was Brazil’s Reserve Goal Keeper throughout the 1970’s when they were only allowed 1 sub, who was always an outfield player?

@MarkRing10 @bernardjackman @YouTube @RTEsport Need a good 10 to manage things. Trying to run bad ball. Running side to side. Standing flat all the time. ATM difficult because very little go forward ball. But still game management so poor.

@bernardjackman @YouTube @RTEsport They have 2 pick the best team, scrum better, not allow them 2 creep across the gap (pre throw)@ LO, meet them on the advantage line when they encroach early before the Scrum/LO’s R over, catch their many high kicks, not play from side 2 side & not run straight into them.

@andyhowellsport @WelshRugbyUnion I like Dewi Lake. He is a committed big powerful unit. But the regions habit of trying to convert heavy back row forwards into props/ hookers has not worked. You have to want to do the basics - scrum/ line out. Back row forwards don’t enjoy it and are being found out.

The 1st thing Wales @WelshRugbyUnion has to do is find a thrower who can consistently hit his intended target at the lineout. You cannot, like Dewi Lake does repeatedly in matches gift opponents possession. A hooker must be able to do basics

@PlymouthJack @philsteele1 Agree Richard. Boys seem bored of rugby by 18/19. Another post said it shouldn’t go back to schools because PE teachers are generic and not specialists. But that is exactly what you are talking about- they need the multi skills approach not specialist too much too soon

@philsteele1 Not sure that this is the answer, things have moved on. With very large junior club rugby setups there must be more children playing rugby than ever. The issue may be is that they start too early. Means they’ve had a ‘career’ by the age of 16 and drop out of the game.

Very sensible suggestion here from Ringo. The schools are a captive audience - not saying every school kid be made to play rugby but at least be offered the chance to try it. 🏉
Mark Ring@MarkRing10

@JasonHewlett14 @JiffyRugby @9smiler It won’t. They don’t have any idea how to develop players. They have thrown their lot in with the Clubs who do more harm than good. They should put the emphasis back in the schools where there is a fairer and vastly greater pool of players. Moreso, Primary Schools!

Llandaff Cathedral packed to the rafters, English and Welsh greats united in homage to a much-loved cricketer gone far too soon. From fly half for Aberavon to opening for England at Lord's, 3 Ashes victories as MD, Hugh Morris shall forever be revered by everyone who knew him.

@stephenjones9 The best line in the whole send off was "will continue to contribute." Nobody who has worked or travelled with you will want to lose what you've given sports journalism or touring until they absolutely have to. Keep writing (ed.)

@andyhowellsport Worst thing to happen for Welsh rugby was the advent of full time professionalism in rugby union. Wales was far better off in the days of shamateurism.

@stevejabbajones 👍There have been some very average over the hill players signed by the regions/ benefactors in a rush. Some quality signings but money has been wasted on a lot of very average players

Great quote here regarding spurs but this has happened in welsh rugby for as long as I can remember. Average overseas players blocking young player pathways. Top, top players are always welcome and needed but when was the last one seen on our shores?

@BruceTruthful @andyhowellsport I think sport and education comes from a far more healthy place than the regions and professional rugby with all the egos fighting for their own slice of the cake.

@andyhowellsport I was thinking the same. The connection and passion they show puts all our pro clubs to shame. I guess it comes down to well coached, entertaining rugby with very little nepotism just picking the best players and making them fitter and stronger. Pretty simple concept, isn’t it?

@BBCScrumV Time for total reset. Had enough of WRU mis management. Had enough of 4 regions/ egos fighting against each other Would be happy to see 3 complete new entities. Fresh start.

@Rixy92 It has to be his number one priority. It’s like employing a brick layer to build your house and then decides to do the carpentry because he finds bricklaying boring. SA/ NZ/ England/ Ireland/ Scotland- All their props get scrum time first priority.

@stevejabbajones @Disco_Stooo_ Totally agree. Totally restart needed. Learn from our mistakes. Take on board good points from centrally control models which can be applied to Wales. No need to copy. But quality/ clever leadership is a really issue…..

@markwaygood @Disco_Stooo_ If 2 teams are the way forward we can’t keep any existing regions we need two new entities to ensure growth on and off the field is possible as if we keep any current teams growth would be limited

It still amazes me that fans still think dropping to 2 pro teams will solve all our problems 🙈 it might see better league results for those 2 teams in the short term but the major work is needed below in our development pathways. This has let the game down over the last 15 yrs
