Spent much time thinking about Villas recent form. I wonder in part if a part of our problem is what appears to be Emery's profile of player in regards to temperament. Squad at times feels like a collective of yes men, who follow orders like loyal lieutenants which in theory is great, but at a squad it feels like those same qualities cause us issues as there are not many fighters,not many tough bastards with real fight. We need some nasty bastards, some real leaders, some sore losers! Not all nice chaps! Would you agree? Do we have any nasty bastards? Maybe Martinez? What profile of player would you bring in? #AVFC

The problem with replacing players people want to move on (Watkins, Martinez, Digne, Buendia, Bailey etc) is that the level of replacements people want will cost more than we’d receive for them. For example, a Watkins replacement would cost more than we’d get for him 💰 #avfc

@avfcbreaking I think he is trying to play him into the world cup and then cash in. Thats the only reason i can think of

Why does Emery keep starting Watkins... 2am this morning it hit me... Try and play him back into form to increase his value to sell. If we drop him now and sell it would be for pennies on the pound. But a HUGE gamble if so considering potential loss of Champions League money. #AVFC

@TouchlineX Man City do not have a large fan base compared to other teams, they were winning trophies when breaking rules. They have since had to fall in line due to now being in the spotlight. We will start to see Man City struggle like Villa to abide by PSR rules
