Gurgaon folks 👋
I’ll be in Gurgaon next weekend and planning a small in-person meetup with ~10–15 people.
🗓 1st February (Saturday)
⏰ Evening
📍 Gurgaon (venue to be shared)
The idea is to keep it informal — conversations around backend engineering, career growth, startups, and real-world tech learnings.
If you’d like to join, comment or DM me. I’ll confirm spots and share details.

@yoursandeshdev what do you mean by build 1 project I can't explain in one sentence ?

If I were in college and looking for internships, I would:
• Stop pretending grades guarantee a job
• Stop calling tutorial-watching “learning”
• Stop blaming the market for my lack of skills
• Stop saying “I’m still learning” as an excuse
• Stop hiding behind college assignments
• Build 1 project I can’t explain in one sentence
• Break my own code instead of copying solutions
• Learn Git so I don’t panic at merge conflicts
• Read error messages instead of screenshots
• Apply even when my resume feels weak
• Get rejected early to learn faster
• Read job descriptions like exam syllabi
• Practice talking, not just typing
• Accept that nobody owes me an internship
• Realize competition is working harder than me
• Understand that comfort is delaying my career
• Stop waiting for confidence - it comes last
• Use college as leverage, not an excuse
• Admit that I have more time than discipline

@kanishkrazdan My parents work in the clothing industry, there are tons of suppliers who are currently using the live shopping method via social media. More Importantly, their sales have gone through the roof. I believe it's an amazing opportunity for us to ideate around.

most people (still) fail to realise ideas are no moat
zomato started as a food menu finder. swiggy was a courier service called bundl. zepto was a whatsapp group for kirana delivery.
none of them started as q-commerce giants. they became that - after many pivots, small and major.
you don't start with trillion dollar ideas. you start with small, visible problems and solve them badly.
then a few people pay you. so you solve it a bit better. the problem expands. you follow it by expanding your own take of the solution.
and in this entire process, the idea doesn't get validated. your execution does. and you just try to survive.

First Principles Thinking,
Why: To build better solutions and think differently.
What: Thinking instead of obeying to what we are told.
How: Breaking things down to it's core truth.
Ask questions, make assumptions, analyze and ask more questions.

@AvinashSingh_20 my feed is making me look dumb, as if I'm the only one not earning from X.
Any tips to someone just starting out?
