Since divorce could only be done by massively expensive private acts of parliament in the UK in 1922, "restore a basic right" is pushing it more than a bit.

30 years ago today, the second divorce referendum. The victory was so close that the result was almost certainly decided by the weather (cold/wet in the west, pleasant and dry in the east). It took 70 years to restore a basic right, taken from us after leaving the UK.
