Mrs. Williams 8th grade Social Studies class @marrington_ms learned all about SC History from historian & re-enactment performer Mr. Perry Smith. Besides a history lesson, they also got to put their hands on cannon balls & learn about field artillery. @bcsdschools #schistory

The Career Explorers Club @marrington_ms had some very special guests today. Student met w/the staff of Veterinary Specialty Care & some fur friends. Everyone learned how to take vital signs on animals & what it takes to go into the veterinary science career field. @bcsdschools

The Career Explorers Club @marrington_ms learned all about goal setting & visualization today by creating their very own vision boards! Creating a sacred space that displays what you want actually does bring it to life. Short term and long term goals= future success! @bcsdschools

Thank you to baker/cake decorator Mrs. Brinkman from Smallcakes of Summerville for doing such a fun lunch & learn today @marrington_ms. Students learned all about baking, decorating, tools used, different baking techniques and training programs for culinary arts! @bcsdschools

Thank you @TeamCharleston Fire Department for such a fun, interactive & informative lunch & learn @marrington_ms. Students learned all about being a fire fighter, Air Force career opportunities, fire safety & were able to try on fire fighting gear and tour the truck. @bcsdschools

8th grade students @marrington_ms had an amazing day learning about careers in medicine at Discover MUSC, classroom to careers day. Students attended a career fair, participated in a Q&A panel & toured the MUSC campus. It was a fantastic day of learning & FUN! @bcsdschools

MMSOA enjoyed a wonderful Black History month which culminated in an assembly with our own STEP drummers and a performance by the Plantation Singers. They were awesome! Thank you Mrs. Graham and Ms. Milligan for all of your hard work!
