@Argonaut1535 You (and source) say light cavalry, but I see this as multipurpose. I can see this being used by infantry: pikes, sword and buckler/rotella troops. And in a way that's on-brand for light cavalry, which is more flexible and shares more with infantry throughout history. (my 2¢)

🇦🇹Light Cavalry Armor ca. 1500-1505, made in Innsbruck or Muhlau. This is a great example of transitional harness towards the end of the 15th century-it has elements of the burgeoning Maximilian style and also retains “Gothic” elements of the 1470s-1490s. Big fan of simple sleek plate armors like this. This armor is a rare example of the fluted, or "Maximilian," style in its earliest stages. The armor was made in either Mühlau or in neighboring Innsbruck soon after the Emperor Maximilian I (1459–1519) established his court armor-making workshop in Innsbruck in 1504. Little is known of its maker, Christian Schreiner the Younger. Few of his works survive, and this is the most complete. A strong Italian influence is apparent in this armor and in armors of the Innsbruck/Mühlau school in general. They are characterized by full rounded forms and sparing use of surface ornament as opposed to the purely German Gothic style typified by slender proportions and pierced openwork. Particularly distinctive are the gracefully bold mitten gauntlets, which blend features of late Gothic design with the evolving German Renaissance style. •Dimensions: H. as mounted approximately 32 in. Some people may not realise that the Illerup Ådal deposit, in Denmark, is one of the most impressive collections of Roman weaponry (up to c.400AD) ever found in Europe (with over 200 swords). the-past.com/feature/weapon… Mars, on an imported Roman pattern-welded steel spatha blade.
