Trying to regain the wild energy I had at 18 when I disappeared into a job agency and emerged a Santa photographer.

Some big news from me today: from September I’ll be joining the @SODAmcr and the iSchool at @ManMetUni as a Lecturer in Digital Information and Curation (on a full time permanent basis). I am so excited to join the team and students that I’ll be working with!!

Cyd Charisse dancing is a good example of the modern American movie problem of it's not just the lack of sex scenes. It's the lack of any kind of sexual heat or suggestion of the body as a place of desire. Or bodies in spaces as more than just props spouting snarky dialogue.
TCM@tcm

Cyd Charisse and Ricardo Montalban were a magnetic dancing duo for MGM appearing in four films together. Although Montalban was not a trained dancer, Charisse said, "He had a feeling for music and wonderful movements."

TW: child sexual assault This is how Canada determined how much compensation residential school survivors deserved. A points system that rated how bad their abuse was. I feel sick.

@DrRichHardbody @scumbelievable Always a great reread. Thanks for reminding me that it's crucial to continue liking/making things that curdle my insides, Gretchen.

@dylanyamadarice I suspect I can guess who suggested it! It would be a real nice shift away from uninterrupted productivity.

Just been in a work meeting where a suggestion for working to cycles of the moon might be better than working to cycles of Design Thinking..... GO TEAM!

A mosh pit is among the safest of spaces! I've been scooped and placed out of harm's way and had moshers apologise after getting bumped out and knocking into me. Bands in smaller venues often keep an eye on the pit and eject jerks!

Started a bedtime routine on autopilot during a bathroom break and I was brushing my teeth, calculating how much sleep I could get before I realised I was still on a call in the other room (unmuted!) and it was 2pm. I think I need some time off.
