I knew Ireland was becoming unreasonably expensive but airports are in the league of their own. Not so long ago I paid nearly a fiver for a tea at @ShannonAirport and today a small bottle of water (0,5L) set me back nearly 4 (€3.74) quid at @CorkAirport In comparison in an Irish chain shop Centra (which wouldn’t belong to the cheapest of them all) sells 6(!!!!!) for €4!!! I’m still keeping the first sip of that water in my mouth all those hours later savouring it like it is liquid gold I bought. Because what else can justify this travesty?
