Time can be so difficult sometimes My sweet Katie is 18 and it's always hard when you notice more and more little issues from her advanced age. Physically she's mostly fine expect her sight, but she's certainly developed physiological problems over the past couple of years. We call it Sundown time, much like humans- she forgets where she is or gets stuck in some loop of standing in the dark by herself, forgets what's she's doing like heading to the litterbox, sometimes she wakes up in a full panic to the point of falling off the bed, getting really angry until she takes a 5 minute nap and wakes up totally fine, sometimes I'll give her treats and she'll end up just licking the floor next to it, the list goes on and on. I know I only have a couple years left with her at most, but I genuinely don't know how I'm going to cope when her time comes. We've been best friends since we found her as a kitten and she's been with me through both the best and absolute worst times of my life-she's always been my best friend and it's going to be like losing a whole limb She had a little brain episode this morning and I just needed to vent tbh
