Forget 'Set Piece FC', Arsenal have won the title without '115 charges' lurking in the margins like Man City, without buying their own women's team like Chelsea, without petro-dollars behind them. That should be celebrated, writes IAN HERBERT trib.al/MLr0KWf

Villa going from sold out yesterday daytime to this is sad When the Club's ticketing strategy over years has resulted in excluding diehards and not nurturing the next generation of local Blues, don't be surprised that you get fairweather fans who won't turn up no matter what

@CFCMods Well done. You got exactly the response you wanted but, sadly for you, it's due to a deeply embarrassing and ill informed take. City's first major trophy 1904 Villa 1887 Spurs 1900 Liverpool 1901 united 1908 Arsenal? 1930 Chelsea??? 1955. History?😂 Shush now.

Manchester City winning the league all these years made us all forget what it actually means to see a club with history win a league title, there are actual fans that this means something deep to, I know this feeling, not all these plastics.

The obsession with being a “big club” or having more fans, stems from online supporters who don’t go to games and want bragging rights from their bedroom. I don’t know one proper City fan who wants to be considered a massive club, or cares about the amount of fans. We won the lottery, we have memories 99.9% of football fans can only dream of. These e-fans arguing about parades, celebrations, big clubs, are NEVER the proper match going fans.

Fair play to Arsenal. Got it over the line. We dropped far too many points throughout the season to win a league but a cup double, given the inconsistencies, not that shabby. Up the Blues - always. 🩵#mcfc

I’ve spent more time than most on Cutting Room Square… I’ve never seen Pep here, never mind looking forlornly in to his burner Twitter account.

@City_Xtra @JamieJackson___ @JacobSteinberg If anything I think they've done brilliantly to keep it under wraps until now. The press will always gamble on being the one breaking the big story - and is obvious already this is the biggest for some time.

@LizTray @City_Xtra @JamieJackson___ @JacobSteinberg If you listen to Sam's pod he's basically been saying he's had lots of stuff waiting to go for weeks - but was still getting conflicting info last week that Pep might still change his mind because he loves the team. I'm genuinely not that vexed about the timing...

Pep Guardiola had hoped to keep his decision to leave #ManCity private for longer to not provide a distraction. News of his departure breaking on Monday night took him by surprise while he was preparing for the match vs Bournemouth. [@JamieJackson___/@JacobSteinberg]

@LizTray @City_Xtra @JamieJackson___ @JacobSteinberg Do you really think those stories were due to leaks that came last night? It's been obvious he's been going for months. Eventually the Mail got brave enough to publish (because Pep has changed his mind before) and everyone else has rushed to follow.

@City_Xtra @JamieJackson___ @JacobSteinberg Whoever is responsible for these massive leaks last night should be sacked by the club. We can't have someone working there who would fuck the players on matchday, the manager and the fans this way. I can't believe how badly this has been handled.

If you’re a City fan who is in any way surprised Pep is going then you’ve just not been paying attention. He’s made it so obvious, all season. I’m gutted it’s over but much more grateful and happy that it ever happened. #mcfc

VARsenal getting the rub again. Terrible decision not to send Havertz off. Looking forward to yet another @FA_PGMOL apology tomorrow.
