Yoruba blossoms and shines naturally in all countries of the world.
We don't beg for recognition, we don't force it, it just flows in our direction.
We don't push for it. We don't cajole anyone for it.
We don't even try to manipulate our ways into being recognized and/or honoured. It just comes.
Because,
Honour flows seamlessly in the direction of genuinely good people who are hardworking, smart, intelligent, honest to the core, respectful, law abiding and who knows how to behave themselves in a land they are not indigenous to.
These attributes and more are what endears us to our hosts and stands Yoruba ethnic group out excellently in all countries of the world where we reside.
Yorubas are absolutely loved world over. Especially in American and European countries and many parts of Asia.
Our food, our dressing, our cultures, our traditions, our ways, our language, are all winning hearts world over.
The academic and professional excellence of our people in the diaspora, plus our omoluabi behaviour are absolutely enchanting. It's our winning edge.
Yorubas are well traveled.
We have had huge population of our people in many African countries, in some, for decades and in some, for over hundred years, not once, have we had issues with our host nations.
The same in countries of Europe, Asia and America.
This, our noisy neighbours need to learn.
What a people.

OUR OWN IRON LADY
A Tribute to Inspector Aderibigbe Abimbola (Bimbo)
When I was sent to reorganize the Special Anti Robbery Squad in Ondo State, I knew the weight of the task. SARS is not a place for the faint of heart. It is a world of shadows where we go after the most dangerous criminals in the land. It is a place that many men would never dare to step into. That was the world I was building a team for.
Then came Bimbo.
She was a natural detective. You did not have to teach her how to see what others missed. You could give Bimbo a task and go and rest because you knew in your soul that the job would be done well. She had a quiet power that you cannot find in a police academy manual. She had a sharp instinct and a fire for justice that never went out.
Bimbo was never afraid. Not once. She did not care how big or dangerous a criminal was. To her, the bigger they came, the bigger they fell. Where hardened men would hesitate, she stepped forward. Where others were busy calculating the risk, she was already on the move. We called her our own Iron Lady and she earned that name every single day .
But what breaks my heart now is remembering the woman behind the warrior. This fearless force of nature had the most wonderful smile for everyone. She could walk out of an operation that would give most people nightmares and greet you with a warmth that made you forget the darkness she had just faced. She was iron on the inside and gold on the outside.
She was the only woman on the team. Just one. But she never asked for a softer path. She worked with every unit and traveled across states. She slept in cramped cars and on hard wooden benches. She stayed out in the field for days at a time side by side with the men. She matched them stride for stride and often she was the one leading the way. She never asked for special treatment because she never needed it. She only needed the mission.
A huge part of every success we had in Ondo State belongs to her. That is not sentiment. That is the honest truth. She was the engine that ran quietly but powered everything around her.
I remember when I was transferred to Oyo State and faced with a high profile kidnap case. The pressure was suffocating and we were making no progress. I did what I always did when the stakes were highest. I called Bimbo. She came. Like a well oiled machine she helped us crack that case within twenty four hours. Where everyone else saw a wall, Bimbo found a door.
And now she is gone.
The cold hands of death have taken her and the Nigeria Police Force has lost a rare and brilliant gem. She was the kind of detective people think only exists in movies. But she was real. She bled for this job. She gave up her comfort and her rest so that others could be safer in their homes.
Bimbo did not just close cases. She opened a path for every woman in uniform who will come after her. She proved that one person can make a difference.
Rest now, Iron Lady. You slept in cars so that others could sleep in peace. You smiled at the world and feared no one. You gave your all so that justice would not sleep. The field is quieter without you. The force is lesser without you. But your legacy is louder than any siren we will ever sound. Good night Abimm!!!

Dear Yoruba people,
Save yourselves first. Support your own. Buy from Yorubas. Do business with your people. Connect your brothers and sisters to jobs. Share information. Keep each other informed and protected. No nation survives on love alone; it survives on loyalty, structure, and economic unity. Empires did not fall by war alone; they were weakened by careless liberalism. Wake up. Stand firm. Yoruba is not a tribe; Yoruba is a nation.
End Foolish Liberalism!

There was nothing sudden about yesterday’s strike.
No panic. No improvisation. No foreign recklessness.
What happened was the end of a long, deliberate process.
For weeks, surveillance aircraft had been in the skies. Quietly mapping terrain. Tracking movements. Studying patterns. Confirming identities. Separating civilians from combatants. Watching who comes in, who leaves, and who gives orders.
Modern counter-terrorism does not begin with bombs. It begins with patience.
Those flights were not violations of sovereignty. They were part of coordinated intelligence sharing between partners who understand that terrorism does not respect borders, sentiments, or social media noise.
The strike came only after confirmation was achieved and risks were minimized. That is how serious governments operate.
Nigeria did not outsource its authority. Nigeria exercised it. The United States did not act alone. It acted in collaboration.
Those who expected drama or chest beating misunderstand statecraft. Serious security work is boring until it is decisive.
What happened yesterday is proof that intelligence precedes force, and that force, when used, must be precise.
That is not weakness. That is responsibility.
Nigeria is learning, adapting, and responding with partners who respect structure and coordination, not noise.
Those who shout conspiracy today would have shouted negligence tomorrow if nothing was done.
The state cannot be emotional. It must be effective.

Governor Dapo Abiodun has reinforced his administration’s commitment to effective grassroots governance with the presentation of Sports Utility Vehicles to chairmen of the 20 local government areas in Ogun State.
The presentation, which took place in Abeokuta as part of the Christmas festivities, was described as a fulfilment of the governor’s promise to equip local councils with the tools needed to function more efficiently and remain closer to the people.
Speaking through the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Ganiyu Hamzat, the governor commended the council chairmen for their efforts in delivering tangible dividends of democracy at the grassroots level. He stressed that strong collaboration between the state and local governments remains key to improving the welfare and quality of life of residents across the state.
Responding on behalf of the chairmen, the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Ogun State chapter, Dr. Mrs. Afolasade Adeyemo, expressed appreciation to the governor, describing the gesture as timely and highly commendable. She noted that the vehicles would significantly enhance access to rural communities and improve service delivery.
Adeyemo also highlighted the governor’s strides across critical sectors such as education, housing, healthcare, and road infrastructure, reaffirming the support of local government chairmen for the administration’s development agenda.
