@MisshapenSmiley When I am writing the story, I am definitely imagining a 13+ audience due to the plot complexity, vocabulary, and implied mature themes/references. However, as there is nothing explicit in it, I believe children should be able to enjoy it as well!

@marvelousluigi Interesting to see that in this canon Bowser's Inside Story happens before TTYD/Marvelous Compass. Since Mario series continuity is very loose, is the comic's placement in that ambiguous to make references like this easier, or do you write it with some kind of "timeline" in mind?

@diathandude That's right, it is Mario's signature as seen in the Mario Tennis Aces commercials. As it is left-facing here but would be right-facing from Mario's perspective when he wrote it, mine is right-facing too!

@OmniRarab Thank you very much for your kind words! I may not be talented, or good with art in any way, but one thing I can claim earnestly and wholeheartedly is that I try very, very hard to do my best with my abilities. I hope the comic continues to be satisfactory in the future!

@gammonboi69 Given the fact that all of them are references to existing images, I would hesitate to call it "draw" but I did trace/imitate all but the Chris Pratt one manually. The Chris Pratt image is simply a filtered photo!

@TheCadius2006 She is essentially a what-if scenario of "what would Supper Mario Broth look like in the Mario & Luigi series, where the joke is that everyone loves Mario and hates Luigi"? I hope this will make for an entertaining character concept!

@marvelousluigi question: is Soupea the embodiment of the Supper Mario Broth blog?

@monkeygamer1802 I was wondering this too - as I did not make this up; it was part of the original story - but I believe they simply *originate* from there, as in, it is simply a type of mango that grew there first and then was spread to other places. I hope this is an acceptable explanation!

@guille_sand Thank you very much for your kind words! I imagine all Fizzlits would use some electricity puns, but Fizzlette happens to lean more heavily into it than most of them would. Just like Mario and Luigi have a thick Italian accent, she has a thick pun accent!

@marvelousluigi are her puns a character quirk or a mannerism all fizzlits have in this universe, like some sort of accent? either way, godspeed for coming up with all of those and creating this characters! fizzlette is cute, CUTE!

@mbecaart This was actually a coincidence that I myself only noticed when the design was finished! No, the intended reference is to something that has the same color scheme as the Oracle himself!

A closer look at the Oracle from the most recent page. In Luigi's original story in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, he is mentioned only in passing... however, I believe the character who set in motion the entire plot deserves to be a little more important. What is he up to?

@JayDoubleU22 He is not "original" in the sense that Luigi mentions him (once), as seen below. However, his design is original, as in, he is not based on any pre-existing Mario species. Still, there is something about his design that is a reference, but I will let the readers discover this!

@monkeygamer1802 I do not have a set schedule for them and will do them whenever the story advances to the point that they make sense. The next one I planned was for Soupea, but this requires you to have met her properly first, which will happen in the next page!

Chapter 1 - Page 14: Totally Luigitimate

@JayDoubleU22 I am terribly sorry, it is extremely difficult to both provide such a large amount of plot and focus on puns. I have spent hours rewriting the text to include as much wordplay as I could, but this was unfortunately all I could include without compromising the exposition.

@ConceptsYep I apologize if the arrangement makes it seem that way, but no, they all fit perfectly and there is no 8th piece. I simply arranged them like that to show as much as possible of the Oracle's body on the bottom of the panel!

@marvelousluigi Isn't there a missing 8th piece at the bottom of the compass ? The other pieces don't seem to make a full circle

@marvelousluigi I agree totally, I was just curious, thank you for the response! Loving the comic so far by the way, you have an incredible talent for matching the humor and style of the source material - new updates are always a highlight of my week, and I eagerly await the dedicated website!

It has been my dream to make a comic based on Luigi's story ever since the original game came out. The first concept I made for it was of Crepe, after I finished my first playthrough in 2004. Now, 20 years later, he is finally realized in a form hopefully worthy of Paper Luigi.
