More than a crisis. A huge crime.
Senator Dick Durbin@SenatorDurbin
Someone is dying in ICE custody every week, if not more frequently. This is a crisis.
English

@Dragontail110 No one is saying our immigration system wasn't broken - a problem that was the fault of both parties. But what ICE is doing now is not proper law enforcement.
English

@marwilliamson Is it not more cruel to Not have a secure border, letting millions just walk in, and giving the impression that all is good. Then offering Sanctuary for breaking the immigration laws of a Nation. Cruelty seems to rest with our Politicians who allow this.
English

My biggest problem with ICE is not the ineptitude or even the illegality. It's its cruelty. A government that would be cruel to anyone has it in them to be cruel to you too. theguardian.com/us-news/2026/m…
English

So ashamed of the behavior of our government. It's hard to believe this is the United States of America. Before this we at least tried - though clearly, we often failed - to stand by higher human values and the principles on which we purport to stand. Today we're led by a gang of mafia-like gangsters and that's exactly how we're acting

One of the most atrocious international crimes being committed right now is the US blockade on Cuba.
The US government is doing everything it can to strangle Cuba’s economy, especially by ramping up the oil blockade. No electricity, no oil, no fuel. Barely any food. A severe health crisis has erupted.
Why is the US doing this? For no reason other than its dislike of the Cuban regime. Cuba poses no threat to the US.
There is overwhelming global opposition to the US blockade. UN human rights experts have condemned it as a serious violation of international law.
Now, Trump wants to take over Cuba, saying: “I can do anything I want with it.”
This is one of the most grotesque crimes of our time.

ICE brutally detain man inside Home Depot—ripping his shirt off in front of other shoppers.
"Was all that beating necessary?" witnesses ask.
"He was on the floor and you were attacking him."
Video shows man lying dazed and immobilized on floor with agent sitting on top of him with his full body weight.
Agents claim to have a warrant—but don't even know the name of the man they are arresting.
The incident occurred inside a Home Depot location in Paramount, California.

@EyesVnj In private, I assume he already says it. It's clearly his mindset.

It’s hard to believe that this isn’t a skit from Saturday Night Live, but it’s not. And it’s dangerous to the dreams of every woman and girl, taking us back centuries instead of forward into the light of full participation in the affairs of the world.

This is the Heritage Foundation who authored Trump’s Project 2025 No women in sport or academia No votes for American women No voice in politics or societal issues Do them dishes and desist basically 153 million women to be disenfranchised by morons
English

@marwilliamson Yes! So glad you are starting to see it! Trump is trying to fix all of that!
English

This catastrophe did not come out of nowhere, and it didn’t even originate with Donald Trump. There has been a 50 year slide toward the militarization of foreign policy, the diminishment of focus and resources in the direction of diplomacy, to the point where serious peace-building efforts were considered quaint and unserious.
There’s no guarantee that America will get out of this mess without going through a serious reckoning, but we need to do more than brace ourselves for that. We need to think deeply about what all this means and how we got here, learn the lessons of our own history, and be prepared to rebuild this country on a more humble and just foundation when we have the chance.
English

@MikeBrennan330 If they were actually able to accomplish that, then of course not. But what has occurred there in no way accomplishes that.
English

@marwilliamson Well for one, to get the Regime you're supporting to stop blinding women for refusing Hijab.
Are we wrong to take the women's side? iranhumanrights.org/2023/02/iran-s…

@realshawnmchugh @Acyn I can’t imagine a real conservative supporting most of what he does. He’s hardly a stand for limited government.
English

@marwilliamson @Acyn I'm a conservative, but its very hard to support Trump right now because of his war

Reporter: The Kremlin put out a statement, a statement where Putin said, quote, I would like to reaffirm our unwavering support for Tehran and our solidarity with Iranian friends. How does the president think that Russia could be helpful if not helping Iran? And did the president push Putin on Russia sharing intelligence with Iran in this war?
Leavitt: The President and Special Envoy Witkoff, have both said that they've sent a message to Russia that if that was taking place, it's not something they would be happy with and they hope that it is not taking place.
English

@suewylan Every president has been focused on ending Iran’s nuclear program. The issue is how to do it. This war will make them even more focused on developing a nuke, and will leave them never again open to negotiation with us
English

@marwilliamson President Trump ran on this issue!
While Trump's 2024 campaign also emphasized avoiding "endless wars" and new foreign conflicts, his consistent red line on Iran's nuclear program was a key foreign policy element he highlighted.
