There's a trend on TikTok where people are telling their cat adoption stories through slideshows and it flattens me every time with the sweetness and kindness and empathy and love. One girl adopted a 22-year old cat thinking he would live a few months (figuring she would make his last months beautiful) and the cat lived four more years to be her soulmate.
