i’m not sure what happened for the devs to completely disregard many of the original concepts for the fatui harbingers but i personally hate the rewritten versions of them. childe’s initial release promised a lot of things that never came to fruition, so it’s natural to be upset

and the mere fact that something was revised is fine, really. the team working on smth, company policies, audience expectations, etc. change so it’s inevitable. whether the revision itself is good or not is a different story…

also, can i say people who think that there have been 0 revisions to a story that has been running for this long is crazy…sure, there haven’t been any big changes to the overall plot as it was laid out in the beginning but it’s genuinely impossible for there to be 0 revisions

ngl, there’s still like 1% of me hoping the harbingers are playing in the traveler’s face and it’ll be revealed that all of these infighting and defections were part of their overall scheme even though that happening would be such an asspull 😭

honestly, even if it makes sense for the harbingers to eventually align with the traveler, it’s still such BS when every individual (especially playable) character is expected to get along with the main character of a game…like, isn’t that boring af??????

Half of the complaints in Genshin community would never exist if this video doesn't exist. What once was an incredibly hyped video turned into unmet expectations and missed potentials. This video was a mistake

personally I think the criticism here is 100% valid. Our original expectations for the Fatui back in 2022 were these evil people part of a society trying to overthrow Celestia, and now half of them are either dead or nice to the traveler and it's like where's the anger LMFAO
