I think that all devs, marketers, (really just all business owners) can take a lesson from @jackfriks. I've been using @postbridge_ for about 5 months now and have been blown away by the care that Jack has for his users. Like any software there are the occasional bugs, but when you reach out to "support" Jack handles your request quickly and personally. I've even reached out with non-Post Bridge related questions and he's been quick to offer advice. I plan on being a @postbridge_ user for a long time, and it's not necessarily because of how great the product is, but because of how supportive their team (Jack) is. Lately I've been trying to take Jack's mindset and apply it to my personal projects and to my life in general. Happy building everyone! 🚀

I am officially giving up on my first app It's the first iOS app I launched and I learned a ton through the process But it has garnered less than 200 downloads and less than $100 revenue since launch last year I will be going all in on my second app, SoberQuest, which has gained much more traction: Over 600 downloads Over $600 in revenue New users coming in daily RIP Mandu 💔

@benhatch44 TikTok has been an effective channel for me too. Slideshows have been nice because they are quick to make.

TikTok has been the primary driver, there is a huge and tight-knit sober community on there (SoberTok) Slideshows have been effective for me, I have a few posts that have gotten up to 40K, 60K views Going to increase my efforts on TikTok, maybe try some UGC/influencer marketing And I also just launched a website for the app and will start doing some blogging/SEO

3 things that held me back when i built my first mobile app: 1. i was worried the process of getting an app publicly on the app store was too complicating 2. i was worried my app wasn't good enough so i took WAY too long to actually launch it 3. i was worried my distribution strategy wouldn't gain enough traction to this day, that first mobile app is by far my most successful project. fear is temporary.

One thing UGC + organic marketing does better than paid ads: Paid ads stop bringing users the moment you stop spending. But a viral organic video can keep getting views for weeks or months and still bring new users while you do nothing.

234K views = $2,585/month for my app that’s $11.05 per 1,000 views. it don’t get better than this man…. starting to think distribution is the highest leverage skill on earth.

the vibe coding loop: idea -> build -> launch -> crickets -> new idea -> repeat and we call this “making progress”
