@mason_covelli @IcyVert For the amount of times they passed the ball, they just accomplished nothing. Watching teams like France and Argentina and getting Mbappe and Messi open constantly, I expected the same from Portugal.

@JohnDahliaX @IcyVert His teammates played really badly, and I blame the coach for it all. There was zero continuity, and Messi scoring three yesterday definitely impacted the team. All around, the team was never able to find cr7 the ball due to stagnant players all over the pitch and no creativity

@mason_covelli @IcyVert That’s why I didn’t understand, he mostly stayed in the center with the defenders around him effectively clogging up the middle. I wasn’t sure if that was by design. I assumed he would run more to pull the defenders away.

@JohnDahliaX @IcyVert Hold up the ball, distract the defenders so others can make runs or make runs in between the defenders lines (which he didn't do). they never where able to find him cause they all played more selfish and passed way to much horizontally.
