Your contributions will determine the success of our 2023 season. Donate here: #donate" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">massopera.org/support/#donate
It's World Opera Day! And what better way to celebrate than to announce our Vocal Competition winners? These sopranos wowed the judges and audience with their incredible artistry at the MassOpera Party on October 15th!
Not only will the upcoming MassOpera Party & Vocal Competition Finals include performances by 5 Finalists, but we will also showcase a sneak peak of pieces from the New Opera Workshop’s ongoing development production of Caravana de mujeres!
MassOpera kicks off its 22/23 Season with our annual Party and Vocal Competition-the first time we are combining both events together! Full bar, passed hors d’oeuvres, and silent auction in the Longy Gardens, followed by fantastic singing in Pickman Hall!

We join #longymusic next month for a workshop!
Inspired by a real matchmaking service that helps Latina immigrants meet rural Spanish farmers at speed-dating events, CARAVANA DE MUJERES follows Luz, a Colombian immigrant in her sixties, as she searches for love and companionship
We're inspired by James Jackson Jr. this week. This is a great reminder to artists to keep doing the work, while bringing your full authentic self to it. And if you are not getting the work you want, create it for yourself.

We had fantastic audience reactions all around, with even more ideas for opera and musical theatre scenes that could be mirrored at a future event. Orfeo ed Euridice vs. Hadestown? Aida vs. Aida? So many possibilities... chime in with your ideas!

The performance will also be Livestreamed. Tickets for both can be found at: catalystnewmusic.com
It's AAPI heritage month and what better way to celebrate than to commend Junhan Choi, who KILLED as Mercutio, (no pun intended), in The Mirror Cabaret earlier this month? This Boston baritone can SING!
