Sam Rivers, founding bassist of Limp Bizkit, has died at age 48. The band confirmed the news on Oct. 18, calling him “the pulse beneath every song” and “a once-in-a-lifetime kind of human.” Rivers was part of Limp Bizkit’s original lineup and played on all major releases, including Significant Other and Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water.
