@Marcus_Mosher The QB play was not rough. Dude literally had PFF’s most accurate season ever in terms of their actual ball placement grading if I’m not mistaken.

Speculation its because of a diminished role but even out of the gate this year- Fannin avg’ed more targets than him Yet he never phoned it in or had a bad attitude He even put it all the line despite playing hurt to make sure his last catch was a TD

Garrett Wilson said Adonai Mitchell had “a hell of a day at practice” today. “He can go up and get the ball. He’s hard to tackle and then you watch him move and you’re like: Oh, he don’t move like his size. He has great body control … we’re gonna use that boy. I’m excited to see what he does because he’s got it all.”

@Rainmaker1973 What they mean by "imprinting" is the process by which the animal recognizes its mother when born... if they don't do that then its going to recognize the human as its parent

I talked a bit about the Lupo chess cheating situation on the Pogcast last night, but thought a bit more about it overnight. While it seems the direct harm caused by Lupo cheating has been largely mitigated, which is a good thing, the more I think about it the more I realize how much indirect harm it'll cause. Ever since I got into chess a couple of years ago I've dreamed of playing in @chesscom's Pogchamps. Thinking about being lucky enough to have the opportunity to participate myself has always been really fun for me to imagine, except I found myself doing that again this morning and realize it just... feels different. Now, all I can think about is how much my experience would be diminished as a direct result of this situation. Every chess player dreams about seeing a sick line, making that big brain move, noticing a really creative tactic, coming back from a losing position... I know it's not necessarily reasonable, but I have to admit I'd almost be SCARED now to see a sick move and play it, in fear that it would be seen as sus. That "someone at his level would never see that move", even if I did. If I was invited, I would grind, study, analyze, try my best to improve my game, all in hopes of playing really great chess, above the level that I'm currently at. I wanna have the vision to see an incredible tactic and love to imagine watching clips of some of the chess personalities I've become fans of being impressed by my play. The problem is, all I'd be thinking about the entire time are the inevitable tweets and reddit posts doing some bullshit half-assed body language analysis, comments about moves and accuracy from armchair chess commentators, suspicions from people from the chess or other communities simply because I'd be viewed as "another one of those Tarkov guys like that dude that cheated", criticisms of my 1200-level chess analysis being either too good, or too bad, despite the fact that being 1200 pretty much means some of my play is at a 1400-level while much of it is at an 800-level, and that's kind of the point. All I can think about now is how 'the dream', the absolute best-case scenario, me playing fantastic chess in a really cool event in front of a big audience, isn't actually fun to imagine anymore. It's not only less exciting, but it's actually just more stressful to think about. I reckon that's what some folks mean when they say situations like this "hurt the game". I'll be honest, I'm fine with admitting I have mixed feelings. I had a ton of respect for Lupo, he was up there for me along with other names like Deadlyslob and CohhCarnage, people who have rightfully earned overwhelming respect from their communities and from fellow content creators, so it was really sad to see this happen. I think folks who are generally honest people tend to forget what it was like to do the thing we all inevitably did as kids, make a mistake, lie about it, and your instinct in the nanosecond you realize you're getting called out is to immediately double-down on the lie, which requires you to get defensive, triple-down, etc... at which point it's EVEN HARDER to come clean because of how deep you've dug yourself. In those situations, I personally consider the initial lie and the immediate attempts to justify and deny are all a part of the same lapse of judgement, what matters is how you are able to ultimately digest what happened and handle it properly, and from what I've seen, he's done that. It was rough at the start, but I think he ultimately did it right, FAR better than just about anyone in the past, and that's what I would have expected from him. Lupo is going to eat shit big time for what he did, for years, and rightfully so. He should have to face whatever the consequences are that anyone else should face, like (I think?) a temp ban on Twitch. People make mistakes and deserve second chances. It's not the end of the world. In all honesty, the shit he's going to have to deal with as a result of the crime is probably going to far outweigh the crime itself, and his ban from chess.com, a suspension from Twitch, the shame he has to live with, and the loss of trust and respect from the gaming community, seems like punishment enough, so like... idk maybe some folks should probably chill? It is what it is I suppose... I wrote up a few things last night but deleted each one because I wasn't adding any value to the conversation and didn't want to bandwagon, but this morning when I was thinking about how cool it would be to be able to play in Pogchamps and came to the unfortunate realization of how much less cool it would be now, I thought sharing that perspective might be fruitful.
