Now, it feels like every player wants captaincy and everyone is trying to push their own name for the role. • A few days ago, journalist Rohit Juglan started promoting Hardik Pandya for captaincy. • The very next day, Siddharth Malhotra started promoting Shreyas Iyer for captaincy. • Then, Gaurav Gupta supported Suryakumar Yadav and said he should continue as captain. • And today, Abhishek Tripathi promoted Sanju Samson for captaincy. • In the next few days, someone else will probably start promoting Shubman Gill for captaincy too. • Other names likely to enter the captaincy discussion are Ishan Kishan, Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel. Right now, it feels like everyone wants captaincy in Team India, and every group is pushing its own agenda. Somewhere, this can affect team bonding and create internal competition among players.
