Our new Parliament is a nice building, but I found the extremely in-your-face prominence of CHINA AID’s involvement quite distasteful and disrespectful to our sovereignty as a nation. The word “CHINA” is actually more prominent than the word “ZIMBABWE” at the front of Parliament and there are THREE permanent plaques honoring China Aid. Surely we can show our gratitude for China’s support towards its construction while maintaining a bit of self-respect for ourselves as a nation at the house of the Zimbabwean People.

@OMGTheMess I read one newspaper letter today suggesting governments should pay for the roads, power and sewerage costs to new housing developments instead of developers. That would cut land prices massively. Sounds like a good way to help first-homers.

My mates and I are doctors in our 20s/30s/40s starting off our careers.
Absolutely everyone is gobsmacked at the budget changes.
Genuinely feels like our generation will get punished for working smart or hard.
None of us own investment properties yet - what’s the point now?
How do we get ahead now?
What was the financial incentive to sacrifice our 20s to train?
It feels like all the worst aspects of communism with none of the benefits…..
No incentivised housing/travel/childcare for doctors
No one in my group is having kids
Yet our alcoholic patients are on their 4th or 5th - supported via government programs
What a joke
Speedrunning civilisational demise

@westaustralian As a pre-Boomer, I'm not upset with the Budget. I'm a pessimist and as such expected nothing. I was right. I got fuck all. Suppose I should be happy for being right.
