The funny thing here is when Ten Haag was sacked , this board did their due diligence. Interviewed couple of coaches, Tuchel, Xavi, and ended up with Amorim also because the other two were not really ready for the job. Now, a former United player comes in get a couple of wins and they are not actively even looking to interview others. They just want to hand over the job to Carrick. Just like that. At least have a couple and if you still end up convinced he is the one , you go with it , but NO. It may not be today , not tomorrow, but as a club we will learn one day. Something bad must happen to this club for it to wake up. We are just not ready yet.

Absolutely fascinating. Probably the most intrigued/baffled I’ve ever been about a non united transfer/appointment. One of my fav coaches/tacticians itw, BUT for the situation spurs are currently in? Can’t think of a worse scenario for him. He needs time spurs don’t have.

This guy @OmarBerrada is a coward. He chickened out firing Ten Hag because of an FA cup win. Decision proved to be extremely costly. He's again chickened out of interviewing available managers because of good results from Carrick without a care for the future. He's been awful

He is tactical/footballing psychopath. And I do not know if that is a good thing or bad thing. His anger issues stems from people not being on the same tactical wavelength. He will use the salt and pepper shakers at dinner tables as a tactics board. He lives and dies by football. He is a lose cannon, but he is passionate about what he does. And as long he feels supported and understood by his craft, he will continue. He left Marseille without a payoff. He left Brighton through mutual consent. I do not think he cares much about money as people think.

I’m seeing a lot of United fans pinning all their hopes on Carrick, when in fairness he’s done a very good job. However, managers like Nagelsmann, especially De Zerbi, are far superior coaches. The football De Zerbi plays is absolutely brilliant with limited quality. I wouldn’t be shocked if he does very well with Spurs
