@zatzi The adventures of Mr Pinkwhistle (there are quite a few in the series!) I loved all of Enid Blyton growing up, all the classics but this one was always one I remember.
I wasn’t into Enid Blyton as a child but my daughter has read a couple and has put “more Enid Blyton books” on her Christmas list.
I was thinking one of the series (Famous Five, Secret Seven, Mallory Towers etc) would be great but any recommendations as to which series a primary aged girl might enjoy most?

@hkettlemaths We love these and I’m so glad the order hasn’t changed as we’ve collated the half past into termly booklets and I didn’t think to check! Thanks so much 😀 our kids think they are great!
I’ll start the weekly free YouTube revision on the Thurs 11th Sept (Foundation 7-7:30pm and Higher 7:30-8pm). Gives you lovely Year 11 teachers the first week to hand the half past paper out! Full schedule here: bit.ly/HKMHPP
So proud of how far we have come at heritage and the GCSE results we have achieved this year.… time to celebrate before it all begins again!! #teammaths
@MrBMaths3 I begin with a spreadsheet for each faculty to consider pairs across years and part time days. Once I’m convinced it will work for each faculty area, I do ks4 on nova before placing in my tightest areas at ks3 due to staff/rooms then the rest… never works first time!
@MrBMaths3@MrTaylorMaths2 Yes, we only use on mini whiteboards. First time through this year. You can buy a small pack of four to try first. The students took a bit of time to get used to but now they just get on!

@LHS_HighSchool every student is going to receive their own mini whiteboard, pen and eraser to use in their lessons 🤩

@MrTaylorMaths2@MrBMaths3 So far no replacements needed. They aren’t perfect, they need decent microfibre cloths to wipe off and they are quite noisy (I’ve got used to it now) but I’m sticking with them!
@mathskatie@MrBMaths3 Looking into this, right now.
They're a bit more on the pricey side.
Stabilo crayons Amazon 30 for £42.87 (£1.43 each)
SL MWB pens Amazon 50 for £12.01 (£0.24 each)
Are they 6 times better?
@MrBMaths3@MrTaylorMaths2@m_chiles@LHS_HighSchool We’ve moved to the stabilo crayons in our department and everyone is still on their original box from September. Aside from sharpening they are still going strong!
@MrTaylorMaths2@m_chiles@LHS_HighSchool Totally agree. We are currently trying to find a half decent pen to use with students in our dept! Any suggestions welcome 🤣
@vlongmaths@inspireinsci@STABILOUK I’ve bitten the bullet and we’ve purchased the class sets for everyone in the department after me and my second trialled them
For a week…. I’m just hoping one box lasts each teacher the year!
@mathskatie@inspireinsci@STABILOUK Me using them! Currently still having students use pens atm. I bought the pencils as a present to myself during last academic year 😂
Teacher friends…. Are you sick of finding dried out whiteboard pens and having them nicked? Sick of the plastic waste? Loooooook!!!! You can get white board pencils for your mini whiteboards 😱😱😱 @STABILOUK you are amazing! I love them!
@vlongmaths@inspireinsci@STABILOUK Was that you using them or the kids? I def need to train the kids to use them quieter! 😂 but if it saves me money on wb pens for the students it’s a compromise!!
@mathskatie@inspireinsci@STABILOUK I agree about the 'tap' sounds! A couple of my students found the noise very distracting but I managed to reduce it a bit with practice.
@wclou@inspireinsci@STABILOUK I would say they are a lot louder than pens. I’m getting used to the sound but the first time the whole class used them there was a lot of tapping as they wrote! You get used to it though!!
