A huge shoutout to the 2 @Peel_Paramedics that helped us last week on Thursday, October 21 around 5.30pm. I don't remember both of their names, but one of them is John. But Peel, you have raised some good paramedics. Thank you.
At 1:30 am this morning the House of Commons passed Bill C-10. Now, with just two days left on the calendar the Senate is being asked to pass it. No scrutiny, no oversight- we haven’t even seen the secret amendments they passed. ‘Kangaroo court’ would be an understatement. 1/3
UPDATE:
- Officer tried to encourage geese to not play near roadway
- Negotiations have gone a-fowl & they began to cross the road.
- We facilitated their safe passage across Steeles Ave
- When we inquired about why the crossed the road, they said it was the chickens day off…
Y’all. If you are moved by someone, by someone’s work, by their friendship, anything — TELL THEM. You don’t know how much they might need that ounce of encouragement, to feel noticed, to feel like their efforts are worthwhile.
Thank you @fordnation for listening to our stories of the #TamilGenocide and for your support in making Tamil Genocide Education Week a reality. Nandri 🙏🏽

Today, the Tamil community in Ontario and all around the world mark 12 years since the Mullivaikkal Massacre - Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day. #TamilGenocide
May 18th 2009. Mutilated & raped, the lifeless bodies of my people flashed across our tv screens. 12 years on, I am getting pictures of the same bodies sent to my inbox for speaking up about the #TamilGenocide. Free from oppression? I think not.
My grandmother “nanny” Teresa Brown turned 107 today. The last year of social isolation in long term care has been really hard on her but she has been resilient. She has survived the Spanish flu, two World Wars, and now the Covid 19 pandemic. She really is remarkable.
(1/3) Bill 104: Tamil Genocide Education Week, Act has officially become law!
Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell @LGLizDowdeswell has signed the Royal Assent officially proclaiming #Bill104#TamilGenocideEducationWeek in Ontario.
Mother’s Day can bring a complex range of emotions for some. Today, I’m thinking of & sending love to those who have lost their mothers, are estranged from their mothers, who long to be one, have lost a child and those who’re estranged from their mothers.
You aren’t alone. ❤️
Thank you @VijayThaniMPP, MPPs from all parties, and the Tamil-Canadian community for supporting #TamilGenocideEducationWeek. The third reading was unanimously carried today by all parties.
This is an important step towards justice and recognition.
