I’ve been in @MrGlibbery’s classroom three times in the last month and have learned more and had more fun than I did in all of my social studies classes combined. #knowMOORE

Thank you to the teachers I’ve seen this morning who began their lessons with a student check-in. Today, more than ever, let your students know it’s okay to not feel okay.

Joining as many virtual classes as I can today, and I am blown away by the amount of preparation our teachers have put into digital learning. I’ve seen virtual notebooks, interactive slideshows, and teacher-created videos, just to name a few. Proud of my school! #knowmoore

“I enjoy helping kids find the joy and satisfaction of finding a solution to something really challenging after lots of struggle and persistence.” Big thank you to Ms. Garner! Now I’d like to hear from some other math educators; why do you teach math? @JCPSKY #whyweteachmath

Time for some Wednesday Wisdom! Wednesday Wisdom #2 comes from @mooremustangs very own Meredith Garner! @GarnerLovesMath is an exceptional 8th grade math teacher and former Moore Teacher of the Year. The question: Why do you teach math?

Wednesday Wisdom #1 comes from someone I taught on a team with for 7 years; she also happens to be one of my closest friends. The brilliant ELA teacher @LuceELA! The question: What advice would you give to a new teacher about the first week of school?

Happy Wednesday, everybody! So I’ve decided that I’m going to do a weekly Twitter series called “Wednesday Wisdom,” where I’ll post some candid words of wisdom from some of my favorite educators/school staff/students, etc. First post is coming this afternoon, so stay tuned!

Happy 1st day, Mustangs! While it might not look like any other first day we’ve experienced, let’s hit the ground running and start strong! #NTI #knowmoore
