@matsleafs No chance. The Leafs problem has always been an overreliance on the first 2 lines for scoring. I tried to make it so that the top 3 can all score a lot and 4 is a bit grittier but can also score as needed

I absolutely think we can have a bounce back season next year with a new coach and a few tweaks. Get our top guys back to top shape and form around them. Add character ( im thinking bunting)

@matsleafs You could but I think there's too much baggage. His last 2 years in Boston were also poor. Here's roughly what I would envision for next year

@matsleafs Some D candidates I would be looking at are (and keep in mind trades are an option too): Ferraro and Trouba. The D market is poor which is why I might use Robertson and a goalie in addition to Mo and Carlo to try to get a decent dman

@BenGordon92 Honestly I forgot about Macelli I agree though. As for Carlo I would try and see if another coach can inflate him a bit and move him at the deadline. I also wonder if he can be a little big of a rebuild. OEL was garbage until he wasn’t again kind of thing.

@matsleafs Exactly. Ideally, we add Bunting to go with 34 and 88. 23 goes with 91 and a new guy. 74?63? with Laughton and 53 11-Groulx- Guy D needs a complete overhaul. 22, 8, 95 can stay but 44 and 25 have to go and we need 3 new pieces. Keep 2 of the goalies. A lot of work but doable

@matsleafs Bunting is fine, but there are other options. For example, if the guy at the plate is swinging a hot bat, I say let him swing and see if you can get a big inning going. 😑

Leafs are just embarrassing themselves. The guy is crippled he answered the bell multiple times and is getting cheap shotted at every turn, they had their chance during the last game and NOBODY took it. The first fight fine, but after is just embarrassing.

I don’t see the benefit to trading Willy. We’re in for a bounce back next year why would you trade a 90 point winger? Still need skilled players on the team
