Many people still view this war only through the Russia-Ukraine dimension. But for many national republics and indigenous peoples inside the Russian Federation - Tatars, Bashkirs, Chechens/Ichkerians, Ingrians, Chuvash and many others - Putin’s regime is also destroying their own future. Their regions are disproportionately used for mobilization, their men are sent to war, and entire communities are paying the price for an imperial system they didn't choose. That is why many anti-imperial and regional movements see this not only as a question of war, but also as a question of survival, dignity and self-determination. For many of these peoples, the ability to freely decide their own political future, independent from Moscow’s imperial government, is becoming more and more important.

russian woman Yana Lantratova, who kidnapped orphaned toddlers during the occupation of Kherson and took them to Moscow, has been appointed as russia's Human Rights Commissioner. In Ukraine, she is being tried in absentia. Lantratova, together with russian woman Inna Varlamova, in 2022 organized the deportation from the children's home of an 11-month-old girl and a nearly two-year-old boy. In russia, the children were issued russian birth certificates. Lantratova actively supports russian aggression, visits wounded "SVO" occupiers, and helps them with rehabilitation.

#Syria: Alaa never got the same chance as Muawiya - to witness the trial of his main torturer. Alaa Abazeed was among the teens arrested in February 2011 in Daraa over the graffiti: "It's your turn, Doctor". Like Muawiya, he was tortured by Regime intelligence, who ripped out his fingernails. After his release, he volunteered with the White Helmets in Daraa, helping save countless lives over the years. On 27th March 2017, he was killed in a Regime double-tap strike while trying to rescue survivors from a previous bombardment.

Mikhail Khodorkovsky mentioned national liberation movements in his post, calling them "caricatural decolonization", which has an extremely narrow base within Russia. In fact, it's not that national liberation movements lack support, but that Khodorkovsky and his supporters do. Like any supporter of the imperial approach, he tries to convince everyone that regions just need more rights - and everything will resolve itself, that supposedly no one will want independence. He is deeply mistaken. When an empire collapses, hardly anyone will want to stay in Russia. The attack on Kyiv was absolutely horrid, but literally no one else will talk about it other than Ukrainians. 29 locations in one city attacked with missiles, an entire block of flats COLLAPSED and there are definitely casualties, yet its radio silence here.

@EstelleDeMarco Le vrai risque,à terme, est l'exigence de certification Google,qui bloque déjà dans certains cas,et c'est absurde,l'utilisation d'applis gouvernementales ou bancaires.Le tap to pay ne fonctionne pas non plus,pour la même raison. Et ça, c'est un problème de politique européenne.

🔴 Google refuse de corriger une faille critique d’Android 16 permettant à n’importe quelle application de contourner les VPN et d’exposer l’adresse IP réelle des utilisateurs, même avec les protections “Always-On VPN” et “Bloquer les connexions sans VPN” activées. 👉 Tous les VPN Android seraient potentiellement concernés : ProtonVPN, NordVPN, Surfshark, ExpressVPN, Mullvad et les autres fournisseurs utilisant le système VPN natif d’Android. Le plus inquiétant : Google aurait classé le signalement de la faille comme “non faisable”, tandis que GrapheneOS a déjà déployé un correctif de son côté. ➡️ Selon les chercheurs en cybersécurité, une application malveillante pourrait envoyer certains paquets réseau en dehors du tunnel VPN afin de révéler l’adresse IP réelle de la victime. Cette fuite pourrait permettre : • le suivi des utilisateurs ; • la géolocalisation réelle ; • la surveillance d’activité ; • le contournement de l’anonymat offert par les VPN.

Throughout the Syrian conflict, the White Helmets also wore body cameras documenting daily life under double-tap strikes and war crimes carried out by Russian and Assad regime forces. That still did not stop swaths of the global population from engaging in atrocity denialism through disinformation, selective framing, and outright denial despite visual evidence. The same will be seen with Isreal defenders as the reality is modern day warfare is a tribalist spectator sport where people ideologically attach themselves to “sides” rather than applying any type of moral consistency. That’s why some can find outrage with Ukraine while in the same breath defend war crimes committed by Isreal throughout the MENA region.

So grateful Lebanese paramedics are wearing body cams. They are documenting, in real time, the war crimes they endure. No more doubting them, no more “where is the proof?” Another double-tap attack today caught on camera: as rescuers of the Civil Defence of the Islamic Health Authority inspected the site of a previously targeted building, Israeli jets struck the location again directly, injuring two paramedics.
