I thought Buffalo was the one first round matchup the Bruins could win, but blowing game 1 and totally no-showing in game 4 made an upset impossible.

The men's + women's NCAA Tournaments are expected to formally pass approval for expansion to 76 teams in May, sources told CBS Sports. The move to 76 would mean 52 teams would auto-slot into the main bracket and 12 games for 24 teams Tues/Wed for a rebuilt opening round. Story TK

Game was over at this point. Benching 2 of your younger skilled players to replace them with a guy who’s best skill is skating fast in a straight line and a smallish D man who doesn’t offer much of note was a Sturm mistake.

@MarkAGunnels Because of the play in schedule they stacked all the 1/8, 2/7 games today and none of these series should go more than 4 unless there’s injuries. The 3/6, 4/5 matchups have far more intrigue (although yesterday was a bit of a let down).
