@inVEZtigator_ Another school of thought is we aren’t one of these teams (e.g. Eagles) that gets a million comp picks each year. Getting blue chip talent over having still not as many picks as competition.

The absolute best case scenario in the draft for the Commanders would be to find a trade partner to move into the early teens and draft a receiver or CB while getting a couple of mid round picks in the process. I don’t want them taking a RB at 7

@1067theFan Maximizing #5 with talent and an aging 17 makes since. FA pieces on defense 25-28 age range. Pick 71 double up on WR or find a TE. Leaves us with a talented young offense with a not so cupboard dry defense to work with.

Grant is ready to take a WR in round 1 of the NFL Draft. He has his eyes set on Carnell Tate from Ohio State.

Listening to the most recent "John Keim Report" with Nicki Jhabvala, it sounds like the #Commanders DC position may be settled within the week. Likely by this weekend. It also appears that the team prioritizes an experienced playcaller who is familiar with HC Dan Quinn's system.

@john_keim I think it’s very naive to think replacing both coordinators in year 3 instead of hiring a new head coach is a good idea. A defensive-minded head coach who doesn’t know how to coach defense.
