We can announce that Gerhard Struber has been relieved of his duties as Bristol City Head Coach. Roy Hodgson will take charge of the Men’s First Team until the end of the season, while the club will task the incoming Sporting Director with appointing a permanent Head Coach for the 2026/27 campaign. The club’s recent performances have not met expectations and therefore Struber and Assistant Head Coach Bernd Eibler will leave with immediate effect.

@NTT20Pod Doing a pod on this chaps for your opinions? My thoughts linked and that’s even coming from a Bristol City fan who have reached the championship play offs once since 2008.

Textbook example of solving problems that don’t exist by the EFL circus. Over the last 10 years, 8th place has finished roughly 19 points behind 3rd, that’s roughly 6/7 wins over a season. Thats not “missing out” that’s not being good enough to compete with the better teams. 1/3

CONFIRMED: The Championship Play-Offs are going to change forever. Details below. From 2026/27: The Play-Offs in the Championship will consist of seven fixtures, rather than five. Two one-legged eliminator ties will pit 5th vs 8th, 6th vs 7th. The two winners of the eliminator ties will progress to two-legged semi-finals against the teams finishing 3rd and 4th in the table, for a spot in the Final. What do you reckon?

If a team nearly 20 points off 3rd can still get promoted, what’s the point in the other 46 games, where’s the competitive integrity? All you’ve proved @EFL, is you believe the tv schedule matters more than the league table, and its fans.

The play offs are meant to reward the best teams who narrowly miss out on automatics, not hand a lifeline to teams not even close. Plus it’s promotion to a league that already has a yo-yo club problem, where we constantly see parachute payment teams bounce straight back up. 2/3

@SkyFootball Not one single fan asked for this, but when has the EFL ever cared about what supporters actually want? Whilst you’re at it, why not just scrap any sort of competitive integrity and extend it to ten teams while you’re at it? 🤡

@BristolCity @fever_uk @EFL Also another home game where we didn’t think it was necessary to turn up and play the 1st half? Not going anywhere anytime soon with that home record. Last season showed how important it is, and apart from LM seems to be a trend with managers.

Got no issues with the player at all but, just so us fans can understand the recruitment teams work here… we screwed up the paperwork in the summer. Boro then told us we can’t have him this January. Which makes our plan C… going back to Boro for a 3rd time and ask nicely 😂
