Weird that Jaime wouldn't want a report about the Democratic Party's failings in 2024 to be released publicly. I wonder why?

Hell, I would love a report. I don’t have a damn thing to hide. But while some folks were obsessing over a report most Americans will never read or care about, Black voters in the South were staring down the possibility of losing voting power for generations. This may not be a priority for some people. But as a Black man from the South, this is about my existence. It’s about the environment in which I’m raising my sons. It’s about whether my children grow up in a state and a country that sees them as equal citizens whose voices matter. This is personal to me. This is about survival. We are months away from what I believe are the most important midterms of my lifetime. The Democratic Party cannot afford distractions, vanity projects, or circular firing squads while the fundamental rights and representation of Black Americans are under attack. History is watching all of us. Release the damn thing after the midterms but before the presidential elections, but in this moment we must FOCUS!

This is one of my biggest beefs with 'the left' is just that they never make any attempt to adapt their beliefs to reality. Single Payer is just not a feasible/good policy with the Republican party being as insane and extreme as they are right now. We should obviously push for universal healthcare, but if you are at all intellectually honest, single payer is just completely wrong for our country.

Instead of violent revolution maybe we try to persuade a lot more people to vote for Democrats than Republicans. Worth a try.

Any national Democrat advocating for national Single Payer Healthcare right now is lying to you. Not just because it could be hard. Because it is impossible. That's the hard truth. Look at our country as it is. Imagine converting it to a nationalized system. It's not happening.

Yet another exhibit in an infinite of why primaries are useless and should be abolished. The two most competitive Senate races in two of the most moderate states both have the least moderate Dem candidates against Republicans that excel at presenting themselves as moderates. I despise the DSA. Honestly, they can all fuck off. Preventing Trump from having another two years to do whatever he wants with Senate approval is literally existential to the future of America and they're so proud of themselves for making it so much harder to stop Trump. For what? What does this accomplish? NYC mayor is fine, that city was always going to go blue, but Michigan and Maine, seriously? This is reckless as driving drunk and blindfolded. I have to stop myself from thinking about it, or I'll get as mad as I did when people (probably the same people) pissed their pants about Biden's age and Clinton's emails as if Trump didn't matter.

There's absolutely no system thats forcing you to become a Democrat. You can literally run third party. You dont have to associate with the Democrat party. The only reason why you're choosing to a Democrat is because you need funds, voter registration & media outlet. Stop the bs
