Friends, as the saying approximately goes: "Fortune favours the bald" 👴 👉 My proposal "HOLES: Higher-Order Learning of Essential Structures with Geometry and Topology" was successfully funded with a 1.5M € @ERC_Research Starting Grant! 👈 🤯🤯🤯 This will allow me to pursue my research in #geometry, #topology, and #MachineLearning! 🍩 I'm very excited, in particular after the great feedback by the reviewers! Attached is the picture of a happy and lucky PI! 😁 Having moved to @unifr 🇨🇭 recently, I'm grateful that @SBFI_CH has options for funding even though Switzerland was a nonaffiliated country when I wrote this grant last year (with a baby 👶 on my lap, no less). (it's a shame that 🇪🇺 and 🇨🇭 did not arrive at an agreement that covers submitted grants, but I hear the negotiations are going well otherwise) 🚨 Again, I'm hiring soon at all levels, so please share this widely! 🚨
