I'm off to #NecronomiCon this week for 1st time. Excited for panels, HPL short films, dancing at the Eldritch Ball, play some games I'm running my fave #cthulhu short Legs by Jim Philips, and have other faves (The Hitchhiker, Organism 46b by Ryan & Lloyd) on standby Say hi!

Family tragedy just hit. Literally trying not to let my tears hit my phone. I wish to keep it private, so pls don’t ask but words of comfort or condolence would be welcome.

@jng5 Not sure! All the normal tips aren't working: taping the cut, pre-cutting a 1-mm groove etc. I'm using cheapest option of a good brand of nicely surfaced multiplex, maybe that is it? It's worse when I cut across the grain of the top surface but I need to make that cut... Hmm

@mattfgl Nice! Must be great to work on physical things. Why are the boards splintering so much?

Project #3 2024: display unit 2 for pottery. Sharon is gearing up for larger #ceramics markets. My first time using a nail gun! Not quite finished: Some shelves are crooked, will add some black paint accents, and build some stable feet. Then build 2-3 more.

To solve for the next 3: -LOTS of splintering. -My bad work space makes cabinetry uneven. -I want to use lap joints (cross cuts so they slide together) so it can be broken down for transport, but that's hard with my tools. -I'm worried about stability, might add crossbeams

Spoilers: yes it makes us very productive! But you still need a human developer to understand and wire the pieces together.
